Airbnb.org—Airbnb’s nonprofit—hosted its first-ever gala at Milk Studios to highlight its new funding model. Airbnb is pledging $500 million towards temporary housing for those in crisis over the next five years. Among those who attended the inaugural fundraiser were Charlize Theron, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey, Zoe Saldaña, Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara, Serena Williams, Cynthia Erivo, Charli xcx, Sienna Miller, and Greta Lee.
